朱志兀, 1963年出生于江苏常州,河南省特聘教授、博士生导师。1993年毕业于美国威斯康新大学密尔沃基分校获化学博士学位,1993-1997年在美国密西根大学医学院Dennis Thiele教授的实验室从事基因调控的博士后研究, 1997-2006年就职美国加里弗尼亚大学Santa Cruz分校Assistant教授。
    2006年就职郑州大学化学系特聘教授,在郑州大学化学系建立了分子生物学和新药研发实验室,并与郑州大学合作建立了中美合资高新技术企业——郑州泰基鸿诺药物科技有限公司,进行“产学研”模式的研究开发。主持、合作完成美国国家自然科学基金、美国国家卫生院James A. Shannon Director奖励基金等美国基金项目6项;回国后在研国家自然科学基金、河南省重大科技攻关计划项目和河南省基础与前沿技术研究计划项目。在Cell、J. Biol. Chem.、Biochemistry、Yeast、Brain Research等国际著名期刊上发表学术论文20多篇。
    目前主要从事与重金属离子铜和铁相关基因调控、重金属离子诱导神经退化机理、细胞周期调控营养元素稳态相关的信号转导机理研究;细胞抗热激、抗氧化相关基因的研究等。实验室的另一主要研究方向是鉴定有重要生物活性的天然有机小分子化合物以及与生物分子靶点作用机理的研究。
