郑州大学基础医学院前身为原河南医科大学基础医学院，继 1928 年河南医学院的创建而成立，曾培养了大批高级医学人才，在省内外享有很高的声誉。
现在的基础医学院下设 13 个教研室， 1 个实验教学中心， 14 个研究所， 基础医学一级学科博士学位和硕士学位授权点，生理学、神经生物学、细胞生物学、生物化学与分子生物学、药理学等 5 个生物学与药学硕士学位授权点，是国务院审批的首批获三级学位授予权的单位。有省级重点学科 6 个（病理学与病理生理学、人体解剖学与组织胚胎学、病原生物学、生物化学与分子生物学、神经生物学、药理学），省级优秀课程 8 门（人体解剖学、生理学、寄生虫学、微生物学与免疫学、药理学、病理生理学、组织胚胎学、医学遗传学），省级精品课程 2 门（寄生虫学、人体组织学与胚胎学），校级精品课程 5 门（生理学、人体解剖学、病理生理学、药理学）。现有教师 137 人，教辅 68 人。其中教授 28 人，副教授 39 人，高级实验师 28 人，博士生导师 12 人，硕士生导师 46 人，并有一大批青年教师作为教学、科研和临床实践研究的中坚力量。
近五年基础医学院承担各级科研项目 278 项，其中国家级课题 13 项，（均为国家自然科学基金）；省部级课题 119 项；厅、局级（省卫生厅、省教育厅研究课题）课题 141 余项。共获卫生部科技进步奖 2 项、省级科技进步奖 25 项、厅、局级科技进步奖 30 余项。
Introduction of Basic Medical College , Zhengzhou University
The precursor of Basic Medical College of Zhengzhou University is a foundational medical college of original Henan Medical University . It was founded in 1928, and possess the very high good reputation in the world.
College of Basic Science of Medicine comprises 13 Departments, 1 Experiment Teaching Center and 14 Institutes. Multiple academic fields of study in the school involved Pathology/Pathophysiology, Anatomy/Histology and Embryology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Human Parasitology, Medical Microbiology, Neurobiology, Pharmacology and they are offered in undergraduate and post-graduate programs. Within these disciplines, 6 Doctoral degree programs, 11 Master's degree programs, as well as 1 post-doctoral research stations, 6 Province Class key academic fields and 8 Province Class outstanding courses.
College of Basic Science of Medicine now has 1.64 thousand undergraduate students; 300 post-graduates, and more than 200 foreign students. It has a well-educated faculty and staff among the 137 teachers, Among them are 28 professors, 39 associate professors; 12 of them tutor Doctor's degree students and 46 tutor Master's degree students.
College of Basic Science of Medicine has outstanding advantages in research of Etiology and Pathology of esophageal cancer; molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis; gene regulation and function; tumor immunology; tumor biothorapy (dendritic cell-antigen vaccines); tropical disease research. Scientific research in these ranks either first inside China or holds an advanced level in the international field.
In recent 5 years, College of Basic Science of Medicine has won 57 prizes of "National Advance of Sciences and Technology" and “Henan Province Advance of Sciences and Technology", thus making outstanding contributions to the economic construction of both the Nation and of Henan Province , as well as to the development of society.
